MI Learning Unlimited, LLC was instrumental in helping students improve in reading and math. This tutorial program was put together well and was very useful when assisting students. Over 90% of the students involved had an improved score from the pre-test to the post-test. I would recommend this program to all tutors and students.

You must know what is being said about the hope of raising the achievement of at-risk students! Consider the role of a principal of a high priority school where the thought of success is always treated like a dream. Because the goal seems so overwhelming, you may have heard phrases such as: “They are dreaming.” “It is impossible.” “It can’t be done.”
I have hope! This principal has been passionate about teaching and the learning of children for over 40 years. But the principal and the staff cannot do it alone. We needed help, and it came. It was an awesome feeling to have the staff tutors and support staff of Mi Learning Unlimited give to my students-the students of Detroit’s Chadsey High School — increased opportunity for success. This Supplemental Education Provider (SES) has even given the total staff of Chadsey High School renewed hope. They were embraced as colleagues, as mentors, as the support that is needed when the goal seems to be overwhelming.
The tutors were professional in every way, conscientious about their charge, careful to secure our students and provided a nurturing environment that enhanced the lives of those students. Report Card marks rose, parents’ faces glowed with appreciation for the growth their students enjoyed. The students showed a higher level of confidence!
The total staff looked forward to the input from committed individuals who regularly reported to Chadsey and were willing to collaborate about the needs of the at-risk
Mi Learning Unlimited staff’s so selflessly gave their time and talents beyond the call of duty for the sake of the students. As an educator for over forty years, I have involved myself in meaningful extra-curricular activities. It has been fulfilling working for MI Learning Unlimited. When the opportunity presented itself for me to become site-leader at Mumford, I did my homework. Mrs. Starkey-Darden explained her commitment to educating our youngsters and I reviewed her tutorial program. After that, I was convinced that the MI Learning Unlimited approach to improving reading and math skills would definitely benefit our student population. We employed a cadre of master tutors to implement Mrs. Starkey-Darden’s program. The pay scale was a welcomed addition to our meager teacher salary. The results were beneficial for everyone involved. We have serviced over five hundred students in the past two years. Not only did their test scores improve, but their attitude towards learning did too. Our students attended, completed their assignments and the tutors used the program effectively to improve student achievement. Mrs. Starkey-Darden has the best support staff and curriculum materials which made our job easier.
